Travel Update
Good afternoon, and Happy New Year, everyone! I was asleep for the New Year itself.
I'm not giving a blow-by-blow account of my travels so far, because that would probably be boring, and also repetitive. Instead of doing a full photo post, what I'm going to do is to make two music videos using pictures, one for each leg of the trip. (I'll email these to you, Pandora10 and LadyChi, before posting.) As soon as they're satisfactory, that way I'll post a video slideshow instead of pages and pages of pictures.
I've had a lot of fun, though. The Xena get-together was fun and crazy in the best sort of way. There were some people (including Pandora, with whom I was very impressed) who were up for almost 48 hours straight! I slept, but that was because I had church Sunday morning, and I didn't sleep that much. The rest of this visit has been much quieter, and it's had all the feeling of fun and family. We've had lots of long walks out in the English countryside, visits to some of the tourist-type shops, and a tour of caves. Those were gorgeous; I pretended I was in The Silver Chair.
I'm happy at the start of this year, and I think right now my life is just getting better year to year. I am going to fill out my application to Kennicott Lodge as soon as I post these two entries, and that will be the first official thing I'll do to plan to go to Alaska, although I've done soooooo much unofficial planning. The Xena convention is coming up in less than a month. I need to call Officeteam as soon as I get home on the 9th, so please pray I'll have another assignment quickly.
I have three resolutions this year:
(1) Drink more water
(2) Restart daily devotions
(3) Get more sleep (I'm going to aim for 6 hours a night, minimum).
I'm not asking for help keeping these -- I honestly do my best at all three already, and more pressure would just annoy me -- but maybe if I concentrate my own energy and attention, I'll do better.
How are you all doing, anyway? I miss your comments -- I mean, I'm not trying to say "comment more" or anything like that, I know you all are busy -- but I haven't had a whole lot of comments in the essays I've written lately. Even "I read this and I have nothing else to say" type comments are fine with me. :)
That's all I got, have a great rest of the day, everyone!

Miss you TONS.
(goes back to doing nothing at work... mostly because NO ONE is here. why am i? what's my motivation?... grrr)
Meep, meep... I really am having fun.
By the way, which dog is that?
Aww that is a picture of our family pet... the bestest, cutest, friendliest, goofballiest doggie that ever was and I think the picture kinda attest to it... at least the goofball part. She was a chocolate lab so my brothers and I were clever(:P) and named her Toby short for Toblerone. She passed away in April a week shy of her 13th birthday and I guess I was just missing her during the holiday season so I made an icon. Thanks for asking :)
